CRAWSHAW PAINTS ACRYLICS
8 x 25’
This series is a step-by-step guide to the techniques and materials needed for painting in acrylic, and follows on naturally from Alwyn's series about watercolours and oils.  Acrylics are popular because they combine the best aspects of both oil and watercolour, as well as having their own unique qualities.
Crawshaw Paints Acrylics was shot entirely on location, in and around the scenic Ring of Kerry in south west Ireland, providing Alwyn and June with some fantastic landscapes and scenery to paint.

Alwyn and June Crawshaw each paint the same scene, the village of Caherdaniel in Co Kerry, to illustrate the different effects that can be achieved using acrylics. Acrylic paints have some of the qualities of both watercolour and oil paints, and they are the fastest growing medium in leisure painting.
