A TIGER’S TALE
1 x 52'
This programme is a celebration of one of the most famous bi-planes in the world and features Christopher Reeve and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Of almost 9000 Tiger Moths built between 1931 and 1945, more than 400 are still flying all round the world.
Originally built as a training aircraft, it has since been used for every kind of aerial work including air taxis, ambulances, crop sprayers and radio controlled bombers; but the Tiger is probably best known as the epitome of the bi-plane, a crowd pleaser at aerobatics displays.
There were no proper drawings for the Tiger, which was developed by Geoffrey de Havilland, a highly prolific designer with over 20 planes to his name.

THE BIRTHPLACE OF BRITISH AVIATION
1 x 60'
This programme traces the history of this most romantic of places, Brooklands, where British aviation first took wing. It was here, amid the Surrey hills, that A.V.Roe made his first stuttering flight in a Bi-plane of his own design. It was here the famous WW2 aircraft, the Hurricane and the Wellington, roared into the air and it was also here that Barnes Wallis perfected his designs for the famous 'Bouncing Bomb' used by 617 squadron in their famous 'Dam Busters' raid.
The link with aviation continues to the present day with fuselage sections for the supersonic Concorde and engine pylons being manufactured for the giant Boeing 747.
This definitive documentary records the Brooklands Museum's place in history as a vibrant and thriving storehouse of some of the greatest moments in British Aviation.

THE BLENHEIM STORY
Airborne from WWII to the Present Day
1x 60'
The world's only remaining airworthy WW II Bristol Blenheim bomber was painstakingly reconstructed over 12 years by the Aircraft Restoration Company, based at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire. The mechanical hero, long forgotten, played a vital part in winning the war in the air. The restored plain was names Spirit of Britain in tribute to the first Lord Rothermere, who had been Air Minister from 1917 to 1918. He spotted the potential of the plane as a bomber long before the outbreak of World War 11 and gave that name to the prototype. This documentary is both fascinating and stirs the heart.
