and harbours, Victorian trams and trains and the massive water wheel at Laxey. David Bean's intriguing and perceptive commentary combined with the music, dancing, surviving language and crafts of Mann have
created a complete and fascinating record.
The program concludes with the annual "Tynwald" where the 1000 year old Manx parliament meets in the open air to reaffirm the Isle of Man's Viking based democracy.
David Bean has produced more than 300 documentaries for the BBC and ITV in a career spanning more than thirty years. "Bean's Boots" featured regularly on BBC in the 70's and 80's.
