The Boat Shop' is a weekly half-hour programme about building boats and has been a popular offering on over forty American Public Television stations for the past two years. If it happens in a boatyard, or on the water, you'll see it on 'The Boat Shop'.
Based on proven audience interest, this unique programme takes viewers step-by-step through the building of simple, distinctive watercraft. Boats of every kind are featured on 'The Boat Shop' and every aspect of things nautical is fair game, from model building and craftsmanship, boat shows and museums to the restoration of antique and classic vessels.
In each programme the audience is taken aboard an array of unique, and in some cases, historic watercraft. From simple home-built kayaks and canoes to the Great Lakes educational schooner 'Inland Seas'.
There are racing and cruising sailboats and motor craft, work boats, historic watercraft, and even a lovingly restored high-speed commuter from the turn of the century.
