THE WHITBREAD ROUND THE WORLD YACHT RACE
- BY WAY OF CAPE HORN The World's Most Challenging Yacht Race 1 x 52' Narrated by Sir Anthony Quayle On September 9th, 1989, over 10,000 boats congregated in Portsmouth, England to bid
farewell to the fleet of yachts from all over the world, of varying capacity and design which competed in the fifth Whitbread Round the World Race. 'By Way of Cape Horn', the only official
film of the fifth Whitbread race, provides a unique record of the greatest offshore race in the world. For centuries one of man's dreams has been to circumnavigate the world.
The Whitbread race challenges the boats and skippers of crews from around the world who face eight months of gruelling sailing often on the edge of disaster. All the crews know that ahead of
them lies 27,000 miles of the most demanding sea voyage known to man.

AUSSIE ASSAULT 1 x 119'
One of the great moments in sporting history - the successful Australian Challenge for the 1983 Americas Cup, when for the first time in over 100 years the Cup was prised from the New York
Yacht Club. The film includes Australia II's design and construction of her controversial 'winged keel'. The historic America's Cup series against the American Yacht Liberty is covered with live
on board sound and vision during the races. The high emotion of the final race between Australia II and Liberty is made even more powerful
with the addition of the live commentary which was beamed back to Australia. This superb film pays tribute to the greatest series of races in sailing history.
